WALE (2018)
Barnaby presented his directorial debut Wale in 2018.
The film has been selected for over 80 film festivals, screened in front of audiences in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, London and Toronto, winning numerous Grand Jury awards. In 2019 Wale was nominated for a BAFTA, shortlisted for the 91st Academy Awards and exhibited at the Guggenheim Museums in Bilbao and New York.
Synopsis: An 18 year old youth offender is trying to start his own business as a mobile mechanic. But enterprise isn’t so easy when you’re a young, Black male with a criminal past.
